One day project, make a book about something you love, from what you have! Taking it back to basics. You will need. Gig flyer, pens, pritt stick, tape, scanner, printer. anything you have around to cut up!
I love sketch books, I don't use them as much as I should but I do love them. I have had a move about an my website, I looked at every thing and desided that I would take this work off line and put in on my blog! So this here is some pages of my favorite sketch book. enjoy
Was on my way to wok the outer day and saw some red heart balloons on the side of the road! Just love the way they look, the red against the grays and green, such a nice contrast look like some one did a photo shoot shot and just left them! Good for some inspiration
Back in late 2009 Dave (aka Adverse) started to work on "War Forever" the first music video I had ever attempted to direct!!
Shot on Mini DV and in my front room, we released it in Jan 2010.
Leap frog to now late July and we drop the followup "Paradise Lost."
This video has a more grown up feel and look to "War forever."
Paradise Lost (Ben Phaze mix) Was shot in HD and was for me always going be a video of its time; Slick and digital!!
Whist cutting the video Dave sent me an email saying "check this out,
Will (out mate in Oz) has done a remix"
And yeah it was really good, putting it to one side I carried on with the video.
A few days later Dave sent me yet another email, with a new remix, of Paradise Lost done by Will. This was more like it!!!!
This video needed a different feel and look.
I told my self that it needed an old look to it. having been inspired by timelaps videos on Vimeo. That was what I wanted for this video. Dave was liking the what I did and the rest is for you to see above.
Have to say they are not cheep the make but are definitely worth the cost (£90+) But I now have one I can use any time and don't have to worry about renting one or trying to borrow one from a friend. (Which I don't think any of them have one any way!!)
